16 – 18 Semi-Independent Living

Our Semi-Independent living opportunities provides support for young people aged 16-18 years of age with low – high level support needs.

We provide various programs for young people from support for offenders with low level offences, to coaching and mentoring behavioural issues, students leaving foster care requiring basic independent living skills. Our team provides extra support for pre-employment preparation and successful outcomes for 16 -18 year olds ready to be fully independent and contributing positively to their immediate communities.

Our service provides:

  • Help with budgeting, cookery, food shopping, Health and safety, personal care and hygiene & managing savings and bank accounts
  • Practical and general household maintenance, Self-motivation, Identify and encourage the use of local facilities, Transportation to appointments
  • 1-1 support for certain activities, Support with legal issues, Support with claiming benefits & Moving on support
  • Support for young offenders with low level offences, coaching and mentoring for behavioural issues,
  • 1-1 mentors for residents in semi-independent living
  • Assist young person positive self-image and confidence
  • Improve family relationships, social support network as well as staying safe.
